Professor Kliq
by Ben on Dec.06, 2009
Sometimes I like to listen to some music that’s a little bit less main stream than all the stuff that makes it on to Radio 1′s play list. There is a lot of stuff out there on line but finding the good stuff can be pretty difficult. There is lots of good stuff on sites like Jamendo but still it’s hard to choose what to listen to from just looking at search results. I’ve got a pretty varied taste in music but I know what’s good and what isn’t. A good way to find the good stuff is to listen to pod casts like RatHole Radio. A few months ago Professor Kliq played a live set on there and I seems to have stuck in my head and I’ve found myself going back to listen to it again which is always a good sign. See for your self.

Professor Kliq is awesome. I really never listen to electronic stuff like this, but i always get into songs like ‘sema’ and the one you listed here.

I’m not a particularly big fan of electronic music either but done well it can be really good. I think the problem is electronic music is reasonably easy to create for people with little musical talent and so there is a lot of really bad stuff out there that gives electronic music a bad name. Still people seem to buy into it. I suppose whatever floats your boat but Professor Kliq really gets in my head and I tend to find it addictive

I can’t believe I JUST found this posting… Thanks guys, I take this as a huge compliment. You’re right, Ben – a reasonable grasp on technology is really all you need to get started on making electronic music, especially when you can download or pirate loop libraries by the masses and arrange music that was mathematically inevitable as soon as each library was released.
I’ve been making music for a very long time and I’ve spent most of my life indoors at a computer trying to do what I’m… well, I’m still trying actually – I haven’t really quite gotten what I hear in my head, but I get closer, little by little, every day.
It’s a never-ending quest for the perfect sound, I’m just glad that there are folks out there like you who are willing to hang along for the ride.
Thank you so very much for your posting and your compliments, it’s the feedback that reminds me I’m not wasting my time cooped up in this little room, surrounded by machines and empty soda cans.
Thank you.
